WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CONDITION IMPROVES?
If a patients condition improves or the disease goes into remission, the patient can be discharged from hospice care and returned to regular medical treatment. Patients have the right to stop hospice care, for any reason.
HOW IS HOSPICE DIFFERENT FROM HOME HEALTH CARE?
Home Health Care focuses on the recovery of an illness or injury of the patient. Visits consist of medical treatment, physical therapy, etc.

California Mission Hospice is available 24/7. We have nurses on call that respond within minutes if necessary.
IF I AM LIVING IN A NURSING FACILITY, CAN I BE SEEN BY HOSPICE CARE PROVIDERS?
Yes. Hospice services can be provided to patients wherever he or she resides.
